Our Vision.........As Elise started primary school at the age of 3 years, 3 months old, I realised I was not the only parent who had battled food allergies, an unsettled baby, with all the sleep deprivation and emotions that came with this as I chatted with fellow exhausted and confused parents in the playground. Finding Harmony has been built on a dream, hoping similar parents feel supported and heard. We work with families from all backgrounds. Establishing charitable status allows us to apply for funding towards our support and workshops.

Sleep....I missed sleep so much!
5 weeks into parenthood and I was barely surviving in a fog of sleep deprivation. My old life of routine, work, social life and lie-ins seemed a distant memory as baby Elise was struggling with undiagnosed CMPA and could not settle. Our days and nights merged into one as I tried to comfort her.
I do not have to tell parents of children with food allergies how distressing this journey is as this is quite possibly why you have stumbled upon Finding Harmony today!
Contact sleeping, rocking to sleep, feeding to sleep, sleep associations, I worried I was forming bad habits just to get through. Knowing I had to help my little one, I set on a mission to educate myself on all things reflux, allergy and sleep related. I found myself qualifying as a nutritional therapist, then specialising in reflux, colic and weaning . I then signed up with an award winning sleep coach to complete the most beautiful and child centred infant sleep course where I learned gentle sleep methods and techniques I now share with other families.
I went on to have 2 more children who also had CMPA. They were poor sleepers and well and truly tested my sleep coaching knowledge.
Sleep resets for early mornings...
Breaking the habit of multiple habitual night feeds...
Separation anxiety at bed time...
Tantrums due to tiredness but refusal to nap....
The fear of monsters in the dark....
Exhaustion from a busy day and needing to learn how to self regulate and calm themselves....
We have been there!
Weaning can be a challenging time as it is common to see reflux return at this stage. Just as you and your little one should be enjoying new tastes and textures you are met with refusal to eat, sleep disturbances due to pain and the anxiety that goes with it. Following a gentle weaning program and understanding why certain foods may be triggers is invaluable. This is where I can help
Working with families from all over the UK, with children aged 0 to 11, I understand every child is unique and their plan must be tailored to suit their needs
