The workshop for key stage 4 and 5 looks at Processed Vs freshly prepared meals.
Project aim: To empower secondary school aged children to make informed decisions regarding their diet and understand how food impacts positively and negatively on their long term health.
Key areas to cover:
The information will include how a healthy balanced diet, with the reduction of ultra processed foods can reduce the risk of several cancers types, heart disease, cardio-vascular disease, diabetes. The ideology behind the project is to reach young people at an important development stage of their life to embed vital health information they can carry back to their families and therefore allow the message to continue throughout the community.
